Independence Day the Ice Cream Way

Independence Day is one of the greatest American holidays. We get to express our patriotism by waving the stars and stripes, picnicking with friends and family, and ooh-ing and aah-ing at fireworks lighting up the summer sky. We are so fortunate to live in the land of the free and the home of the brave with the ability to celebrate pretty much any way we want – like with ice cream. So in honor of National Ice Cream Month and the 4th of July, here are 10 of the best patriotic ice cream recipes to help you paint the town red, white, and blue on Independence Day.

8 Mother's Day Brunch and Dessert Recipes

Moms don’t get nearly as much credit as they deserve.  Dedicating just one day to moms isn’t enough because they’re always there for us, working around the clock to make sure we have everything we need. But it is one day, and we always feel like we need to make it as special as possible for the mothers in our lives. A few things come to mind when we envision the perfect Mother’s Day: a giant bouquet of flowers, breakfast in bed, a sweet note and/or treat, and doing lots of dishes (so mom doesn’t have to).

Fun Easter Recipes

Easter traditions abound on Washington Dairy farms as we come together as families to celebrate: Easter eggs hunts, spiral ham, scalloped potatoes, and heaps of candy all come to mind. And as much as we love tradition, we also enjoy changing things up.
So with the holiday just around the corner, we thought of a few fun ways to add some variety to the traditional Easter dinner.
Instead of baking a sheet cake, you could tote around a few Easter basket cupcakes, or try carrot-shaped egg salad sandwiches. Everybunny will be so jealous.

Washington State Cheesemakers

Washington State Cheesemakers
There are a thousand reasons to love cheese. It’s delicious, it’s a good source of protein and you can add it to almost anything for a better flavor experience – even apple pie. We are fortunate to have several cheesemakers in Washington who produce artisan cheeses that have been recognized not only locally, but globally, for their superior quality and taste.
